TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL สอบอันไหนดี ต่างกันยังไง?

การทดสอบทักษะและความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษในปัจจุบันนี้นั้นถือว่ามีการทดสอบหลายรูปแบบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการทดสอบ โทอิค (TOEIC) ไอเอลส์ (IELTS) หรือการทดสอบ โทเฟล (TOEFL) ทั้ง 3 รูปแบบนี้ล้วนแล้วแต่เป็นการทดสอบทักษะและความสามารถทางภาษาในระดับนานาชาติทั้งนั้น แล้วแบบนี้จะทดสอบอะไรดี นี่เป็นคำถามที่หลายคนยังสงสัย ก่อนอื่นขออธิบายให้เข้าใจก่อนว่า การสอบทั้ง 3 รูปแบบนี้มีความแตกต่างกันและมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการนำไปใช้ที่แตกต่างกันด้วย


การเลือกสอบ TOEIC, IELTS หรือ TOEFL ขึ้นอยู่กับวัตถุประสงค์และความต้องการในการนำผลสอบไปใช้งาน ซึ่งแต่ละการสอบมีลักษณะและจุดมุ่งหมายที่แตกต่างกัน ดังนี้:


1. TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)

วัตถุประสงค์: วัดทักษะภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับการใช้งานในบริบทธุรกิจและองค์กร

ทักษะที่ทดสอบ: การฟังและการอ่าน หรือการพูดและการฟัง

ค่าใช้จ่าย: ประมาณ 1,800 บาท

การใช้งาน: ใช้สำหรับการสมัครงาน ปรับเงินเดือน เลื่อนตำแหน่ง หรือพิจารณาคัดเลือกบุคคลไปสัมมนาต่างประเทศ


2. IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

วัตถุประสงค์: ประเมินความสามารถด้านภาษาสำหรับการศึกษาต่อหรือทำงานในประเทศที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ

ทักษะที่ทดสอบ: การฟัง การอ่าน การพูด การเขียน

ค่าใช้จ่าย: ประมาณ 6,900 บาท

การใช้งาน: ใช้ในการสมัครเข้าศึกษาต่อหรือทำงานในต่างประเทศ โดยมีการประเมินครบทั้ง 4 ทักษะสำคัญ


3. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

วัตถุประสงค์: ประเมินความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับการศึกษาต่อในมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลก

ทักษะที่ทดสอบ: การฟัง การพูด การอ่าน การเขียน

ค่าใช้จ่าย: ประมาณ 6,200 บาท

การใช้งาน: ใช้ในการสมัครเข้าศึกษาต่อหรือรับทุนการศึกษาในมหาวิทยาลัยต่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะในสหรัฐอเมริกาและประเทศที่ใช้การทดสอบนี้


การเลือกสอบ

TOEIC: หากต้องการสมัครงานหรือพัฒนาสายอาชีพในบริบทองค์กรธุรกิจ

IELTS: หากต้องการศึกษาต่อหรือทำงานในประเทศที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ

TOEFL: หากต้องการศึกษาต่อในมหาวิทยาลัยที่ยอมรับการสอบนี้
